On October 19, the Heavy Lift Awards 2021 took place in London and we also participated this year. The winners have already been announced and Schmidbauer can proudly report to have won the second place for "Project of the Year".
The Heavy Lift Awards returned for the third consecutive year to recognize the successes of the project cargo supply chain. Incredible work by the project logistics industry was showcased - from the engineering efforts behind impressive moves and elevators to the work that puts training and safety at the forefront of our industry – provided the perfect setting to network with industry peers.
Schmidbauer set a groundbreaking record in Germany with a project that the judges described as extremely well executed.
The heavy transport, which carried two reactors in four stages from the port of Kelheim to Neustadt in Germany for an oil refinery, was the largest weight ever transported by road in Germany. With this spectacular effort and the precision behind it, we ended up in second place and would like to thank again all those involved, without whom this would not have been possible.
