Schmidbauer supports construction of the "Development Center of the Future" by Google

Support the project for Google's new development center in Munich by erecting a Liebherr 240 EC-B construction crane on a 6-meter-high gantry:

A development center for Google has been under construction in Munich, Germany for several months. In the future, the postal palace in the Arnulfstraße is to combine high-tech and tradition, and create jobs for approxamatly 1,500 employees.
The former post office is a listed building under monument protection which presented the construction project with major challenges from the get go. The historic image of the building was not to be altered yet the goal was to make the premises energy-efficient and sustainable. Schmidbauer was particularly pleased to support the complex construction project of the technology company.

This required combined forces: A construction crane had to be catapulted onto a six-meter-high portal and secured. As a heavy-duty expert Schmidbauer was brought to the construction site at the end of October.
On October 23 the operations began with the pre-assembly of the portal. This was turned into the correct position with the help of two mobile cranes. The following day, the construction crane was assembled by the Schmidbauer cranes.

Part of the former postal service office is to be open to the public, while data protection in particular, but also automobility and cloud services will find their place in the rest of the development center. Due to the current Corona situation and the therefore lower demand for office space, a large part of the building will be used as creative areas and co-working spaces.
